RUSS⚡SAM...& PEGGY THE DOG

AHH FWIENDS! It's always a massive honour when a mate gets in touch and tells you they want you to capture their wedding day, so when Russell dropped me a DM at the end of last year to grab my last available date for 2025, I was mega flattered and also a little bit nervous (standard when a mate books you, right?), not least because he is one of the sexiest bass players the local scene has ever known... 🎸

WHAT A DAY! It was a festive themed banger from start to finish, Sam was a delight of a bride who ROCKED a classic 60's vibe with that gorgeous dress (sorry about the Cilla Black comment haha) and Russ matched it with a classy black velvet suit, they looked INCREDIBLE! Also let's not forget the real star of the show Peggy, she had a great day seeing her humans do the mighty deed, and she was never far from my camera 🙂

It was a super relaxed wedding, morning prep with Sams family was a blast (Mum is now known as Bum for personal reasons I can't possibly reveal), we then had a lovely ceremony in the local town hall in Huntingdon, followed by a brilliant reception at the wonderful Crown Inn in Broughton (honestly go visit this pub, the food is out of this world!).

It's been another incredible year and once again I find myself feeling deep gratitude to not only my previous couples for constantly being my biggest champion, but also for the couples who this past year trusted me to capture their most precious of memories for them, it's honestly the biggest compliment to be chosen by you and I will never ever take that honour for granted. THANK YOU SO MUCH ❤️

I am mega excited for 2026 already, I do have a handful of spaces still for weddings during the next 12 months, and my 2027 books are also NOW OPEN! Let's have a chat if you like my vibe 🙂

⚡WHY CHASING ALGORITHMS, TRENDS & THE LATEST SOCIAL MEDIA PUSHED STYLES ARE NOT FOR ME⚡

I'm sorry guys, I wish I had the energy to care about every new trend and style that seems to dominate this industry at the moment, but I simply don't. I need to use this platform to find my clients, but I can't force myself to try and chase what is popular on here and 'on trend' right now when I think it really compromises my ability to capture your day authentically, so I am not going to do so and here is why...

I am tired. I'm tired of the constant battle chasing the 'gram algorithms. I'm tired of the constant selling of style over substance in this industry. I'm tired of the anxiety I keep hearing from couples who are feeling so overwhelmed due to the constant pressure to have an 'Instagram worthy wedding' that it's robbing them of the joy they should be feeling.

Now don't misunderstand me, I love Instagram, it's a wonderful platform in so many ways and it's a great place to connect, find ideas and be inspired BUT it far too often becomes a pressure - for both couples and photographers alike - making you feel that a wedding has to look and feel a certain way purely because that happens to be trending

I entered this industry because it was a natural progression from my background of photographing events and people, but I am staying because it's an amazing privilege being trusted to capture a day when you see people often at their most unguarded, emotional, joyful and vulnerable. I want to protect that for myself and for people getting married, the authenticity of YOU, not a trend that was never about you in the first place.

All I have ever desired is for every single one of my couples to get their galleries and say 'yeah, that's how it felt, you have captured our day exactly how we remember it' and that desire still drives me to this day. Honest, candid, joy filled and real photography that is about YOU and yours, not what Instagram or the internet told you is important, and not because some trending style is making you feel inadequate. I'm going to keep doing that and I hope enough people value that so I can keep feeding my cats 😂

PTOWN SMACKDOWN AS MYLES & MOLLY DO THE MIGHTY DEED! What a BANGER of a wedding with my lovely awesome mates Molly & Myles, two LEGENDS of the Ptown pub scene, and two people who I have had the boozy joy of getting to know in our shared favourite bar BOTTLE & BOARD!

The gorgeous Haycock Manor Hotel was the venue as this total unique day kicked off with some hilarious morning antics, the boob Olympics, some questionable hand gestures and a bucketful of happiness as Myles & Molly FINALY tied the knot and did the mighty deed! The whole day went in a blur of booze, laughs, mischief, the longest speeches known to man and then finally a KICK ASS PARTY to end it all on a high! WHAT A DAY AND WHAT A WEDDING ❤️
