WHAT A WEDDING! The amazing Mikey & Tash tied the knot back in 2018 at the incredible Asylum Chapel (my first time there in fact) and I had the great honour of seeing it published in the brilliant @rocknrollbridemagazine across 8 pages ❤️

It was the wedding of dreams, Tash actually made her own dress and bouquet, and they had an incredible performance artist during their ceremony that released a kaleidoscope of paper butterflies during their ceremony that took everyone's breath away 💯

I have been enjoying going through my archives this week, digging out old faves and reliving memories of fantastic past weddings, and a day that has always stayed in my memory was when Heidi & Ben did the mighty deed back in 2018 at the lovely Thatch Barn in Yelling!

We had a blast all day, and despite how nervous they both were about being photographed, they were a joy to capture and they looked bloody amazing together!

I know I made a good impression because I ended up shooting the wedding of Heidi's lovely Mum Tracey a few years ago, that was another brilliant day, and I have always found it an incredible privilege making genuine lasting connections with the people I meet doing this crazy job :-)

My family photo mini sessions are BACK just in time for Easter half-term on Saturday 28th March at Hinchingbrooke Country Park! They are high energy fun driven 30 minute sessions with 20 digital edits included, slots are available to book from 10am to 4pm on a first come basis, and pets/dogs are totally welcome as well :-)

I was chatting to a fellow photographer mate the other day about things we love (and hate tbf haha) about weddings, and I always come back to the genuine excitement I get when I know in my bones that I have captured, in a single image, how a couple FEEL on their day, and I think this one last year of the awesome Alistair & Penny is a great example of what I'm really looking for when I am shooting a wedding :-)

I like to observe and document as much as I can at your wedding, so if you don't want a gallery full of staged shots, the best thing is to trust me to use my instincts, and let me fly free...😅

Here are some tips to make sure the real wedding you're having is captured in an authentic way...

Laugh your tits off!
Ugly crying is NOT a thing - embrace your emotions.
Make sure you actually see each other.
Set a relaxed tone early doors.
Don't micro manage the fun out of your day, let it flow.
Be yourself, always, and 100% unapologetically.

Let yourself breath on your day and magical things can and will happen, it's not a photo shoot, it a celebration of who you both are, and embracing your personalities (and your guests!) will always be something I encourage

I'm good at capturing joy because I let it happen. If you like my vibes, hit me up, I have a rubbish beard and a loud laugh, but I'm a bloody ninja with a camera.
