A brilliant destination wedding in Mallorca, at the stunning Finca Son Bosch, with Janet & Patrick!
The opportunity to capture peoples wedding days is a serious privilege, even more so when they are willing to fly you to another country to do it, so when I met Janet and Patrick at a wedding fair, and they told me of their plans, I was really hopeful that they would choose to book me, and thankfully over a beer in Cambridge, the deal was done!
Mallorca is a beautiful place for a wedding, and Janet & Patrick could not have picked a more stunning venue to hold their amazing day! The ceremony itself was held in Palma, at the intimate Anglican Church, before we all boarded a coach and headed up some winding roads, high up in the mountains, to the picturesque Finca Son Bosch! This journey was not without its risks however, and the car that Janet and Patrick were in suffered a flat tire half way up! This did provide me with an amusing photo opportunity however, and Janet embraced it by thumbing for a lift 🙂
The weather was HOT, and the bright relenting sun did create its own challenges, but the day flew by at a whirlwind pace! Drinks on the terrace, with added tapas and live music from a superb Spanish guitarist, created an awesome and relaxed atmosphere that all guests and family embraced. Janet & Patrick were so much fun to capture, we managed to squeeze three mini photo sessions into the day (so that we could incorporate as much as the stunning location as we could), and as you can see from the images, they were laughing virtually from start to finish, so capturing these two at their best was easy!
I enjoyed this wedding immensely, and I’m grateful for the chance that Janet and Patrick gave me to not only capture this day for them, but also spend time with their quite brilliant family and friends. A wedding to remember for so many reasons, this is the story of Janet & Patrick’s day…
